"Creative Expressions: An Art, Sensory, Culinary and More Journey"
Program Overview:
"Creative Expressions" is a 7-week immersive experience designed for special needs adults, combining the explorative worlds of art, sensory, culinary and other skills. This program is structured to encourage self-expression, creativity, collaboration, and independence, all within a supportive and cheerful environment. The course aims not only to teach valuable artistic and culinary skills but also to boost confidence, promote sensory experiences, and foster a sense of accomplishment among participants.

John is a Special Education Teacher in the A.C.H.I.E.V.E. Program. He has taught in his current position for 10 years and taught 3 years at Council Rock North. He holds a duel certification from Holy Family University in Special Education and Elementary Education. John also received his Bachelor’s degree in Business/Sports Management from Temple University.
John is a graduate of Council Rock High School and currently resides in Newtown. He has coached high school athletics at Council Rock for over a decade. He and his wife Katie are proud parents of three daughters, Charlotte (8), Delaney (6) and Evelyn (3).
Jaimie is a special education teacher in the Neshaminy School District. She received her Bachelors and Masters degree in special education from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.. Jaimie also holds a Master’s plus 30 from The University of Pennsylvania. She has been teaching for 13 years inside the autistic support classroom setting.
In her free time she spends time with family and friends, cheers on the Philly sports teams, exercises, and spends her summers in Wildwood NJ.
Jaimie is the newly appointed Vice President of Athletes Helping Athletes, a non profit organization. AHA’s mission is to connect local athletes with special needs with mainstream student-athletes in a spirit of friendship for their mutual benefit,
inspiration and respect. I have been a part of AHA for over 17 years
Eleanor Evans graduated from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration. She has been a professional Illustrator, Graphic Designer and Sculptor for 35 years and worked as a Medical Illustrator with University of Pennsylvania. Eleanor is a Certified Teacher of Art in Hamilton Township School District, New Jersey and in her twelve years of teaching experience, she has designed multiple art curricula combined with education technology to instruct students of all ages, from preschool, elementary, high school and adult learners, and have been working with children with developmental and learning disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Dyslexia, ADHD, as well as social and emotional behavioral support and basic academic learning support. Eleanor loves teaching Drawing, Painting, Adobe Photoshop, Ceramics, and Mixed Media and during her summer breaks, she enjoys working as a Camp Art Instructor and as an ESY Teacher with a CPI Certification in Crisis Intervention.

Roseann has been a pediatric nurse for the past 35 years. She has worked in the Council Rock school district for the past 17 years as both a nurse and a teachers assistant. She has experience in both the Intense learning and life skills classrooms. She is the mom of two adults, the oldest being on the autism spectrum. She is also the handler of her therapy dog Leo, who volunteers in third grade at Richboro Elementary school. In her spare time, you’ll find her riding her bike or walking her dog. She is looking forward to working with your adults at the STRONG MIND STRONG BODY DAY camp this summer.
Mom of 2 adult sons on the Autism Spectrum - Jack aged 28 and Conor aged 23. I live with my husband and children in Holland, PA.
I have worked in the Council Rock School District since September of 2004.I spent 8.5 years working at CR Achieve program as an Instructional assistant and a job coach. I have worked many years with a variety of students with many different disabilities including Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, hearing impaired, sight impaired, anxiety issues and various other mental health issues. This past year and a half I have been working as an Emotional Support IA at the Sloan School.
My husband and I developed and maintained the TOPSports program for 19 years. We served over 125 families through that time with a soccer, basketball and bowling program for special needs children. I also served on the Pegasus Therapeutic Riding program board of directors for 7 years. We have spent many years working with Athletes Helping Athletes, The Miracle League & the Blackthorn Barbarians Rugby team.
Currently, I am the secretary for the Council Rock Education Foundation and the President of the Council Rock Education Support Professionals Association.
Amy has over 20 years in the dance industry. She grew up dancing in Bucks County, PA. She received her B.A in Dance Studio Teaching, B.F.A qualifications in Dance Performance, and a Business minor from Montclair State University in 2018. While at MSU, Amy had the opportunitiy to perform in pieces by Christian Von Howard, Kathleen Kelly, Maxine Steinman, and more. She also had the opportunity to study and perform in Stockholm, Sweden!
Amy has also received a Master's of Education and is certified in Power arre Fitness and Progressive Ballet Technique. She is passionate about teaching individuals with disabilities and loves supporting various charities, organizations, and non-profits in Disability Advocacy work.
